June 2025 Feng Shui Forecast … Focus on Self Knowledge and Family Guas

June 11: Full Moon … connect with your Knowledge Gua
June 21: Summer Solstice
June 25: New Moon … activate your Family Gua

We begin June with a first quarter moon that relates to your Knowledge and Personal Development gua. This area is the front left corner of your house, every room in your house, your workspace, and your land, when you overlay a grid of nine blocks (similar to a tic tac toe board) on your space. If you haven’t done so already, re-energize these areas prior to the June 11th full moon.

Energy builds during first quarter moons. Use the cosmic nudge this week to tidy up, do some spring cleaning, eliminate clutter, and generally raise the vibrancy of your property … the front left corners, in particular.

Your Knowledge and Personal Development areas are about connecting with your deep inner self. Cleaning up and clearing out excess can help you to tap into your intuition. Healthwise, doing so could also assist with resolutions to any health problems related to your shoulders, back, arms, and hands. Answers could be in the form of information, connections with the right healthcare providers, physical therapy, elimination of the problem, or other forward movement.

If you’ve been intentionally working with your Knowledge gua, tap into the energy of the June 11 full moon. Look for signs that the intentions you set have taken root, including coincidences and synchronicity. A coincidence might be someone telling you about a great service or practitioner that could assist with the very issue you’re trying to resolve. It could also be something like a nice upgrade to your Knowledge gua or home, or a personal development program (such as a retreat) that has caught your attention. These are some of the various ways that the Universe tries to get your attention, particularly after you’ve set your intention.  Notice any shifts that have taken place and be sure to give thanks for them. Noticing messages and shifts, and acknowledging what’s happening, helps more synchronicity to come your way.

By June 17th switch your attention to your Family gua and prepare for the June 25 new moon in Cancer. This the left center area of your home, every room in your home, your workspace, and your land, when you overlay a grid of nine blocks (similar to a tic tac toe board) on your space. The energy of the Family gua relates to your parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, siblings … your relatives and your family, in whatever form it takes. Families come in a variety of combinations these days and are not restricted to blood relatives. Healthwise, the Family gua relates to your liver network (liver and gall bladder) and your feet.

If you would like to strengthen family relationships or resolve any health problems related to your liver, gall bladder, or feet, adjusting the energy of your Family gua could help.

The Family gua is energized and balanced by the Wood element. Wood energy is represented by greens and blues, plants and flowers, vertical columns and stripes and floral designs. It is supported by Water and weakened by Fire energy. Metal energy helps to balance the space and too much Earth could be problematic. A good rule of thumb when balancing spaces via the Five Elements is to create spaces the look and feel great. Work with element that primarily relates to the specific area (Wood for the Family gua) and bring the space into balance from there. You want to have representation of all five elements and just not too much of the elements that weaken the space.

A common myth is that wood furniture represents Wood energy. It does not. The Wood element is alive and vibrant. Look to nature for guidance. When you think about Wood energy, visualize trees, plants, and flowers. Wood furniture, on the other hand, is harvested wood. It is dried or dead wood. It is categorized as Earth energy in feng shui. Houses full of wood paneling, have a lot of Earth energy. If you have a lot of Earth energy, balance it with white, light pastels, and metal.

The Family gua is symbolized by the Thunder trigram in the I Ching. Thunder is represented by two dashed lines on top and a solid line on the bottom, when you stack them up. In the mythological Chinese family, Thunder is the Eldest Son. Both Thunder and the Eldest Son are known for having a burst of energy. They break barriers, push forth, and forge new pathways. Thunder energy can help you to break through obstacles and barriers.

The body parts associated with the Family gua are your feet. Your feet root you to the Earth and connect you with your family through your bloodline. Family connections run very deep. Be open to what captures your attention and also be open to new discoveries. Services such as Ancestry.com are helping people connect with long lost relatives while also unearthing secrets that may have been long buried or best left in the past.

Also, all body parts have a connection to your feet. As you massage your feet or do reflexology, you are also clearing blockages from various body parts and re-energizing them.

The liver and gall bladder are the organs and meridian networks associated with the Family gua. The liver meridian begins at the edge of your big toenail, continues across the top of your foot, goes up your leg and ends at the ninth rib. The gall bladder meridian begins at the corner of your eye, goes up around your ear and head, travels down your neck and shoulders, down your torso, around your hip, down your leg and across the top of your foot, ending at your fourth toenail.

Anger and frustration are associated with blockages within the liver and gall bladder meridians. If you find this to be a problem in your life or within your family, balance your Family gua.

6 Tips to re-balance your Family Gua

  1. Remove clutter. This is anything you don’t love or use, things that have been sitting around unattended, things that feel depleted, or are broken or discarded. Look out for piles of paper, clothes, books, your name it. Give everything a home.

  2. Clean your various Family guas… the left-center areas of your yard, house, every room in your house, and your workspace. This month we’ll be trimming bushes and cleaning gardens in the Family gua of our yard.

  3. Assess the Five Elements throughout your various Family gua areas. Strive to have more items and décor that signify the Water and Wood elements, when compared to the Fire, Earth, and Metal elements.

  4. Place a picture of your family that was taken during happy times. Families come in all sorts of arrangements these days. It can be a blended family.

  5. Place a vase of fresh flowers or a beautiful plant for an instant chi lift.

  6. Include a picture, image, or sculpture of a beautiful tree. Tree roots run deep, similar to family roots.

Here’s a quick review of how the Five Elements show up in your space and possessions. To support the Family gua, emphasize décor with Water and Wood energy. Use Fire, Earth, and Metal elements to bring balance.

Emphasize:

Set your intentions and do a meditation to reinforce your wishes with the June 25th new moon. Then check back around the July 10th full moon to begin to notice the shifts that are underway.

As you get into a rhythm with the moon cycles, it’s easier to be in the flow of supportive energy. New moons are about new beginnings, You clean and prep a related space prior to each new moon. Then you set your intentions and do a meditation on the new moon day, or within 24 hours of it. Think of this as the time to plant or “seed” your wishes. During the following two weeks, take inspired action towards your goals. Then check in with the full moon and notice what’s coming to light … what signs or signals do you see related to your intentions? At each full moon, notice what’s happening and release what no longer serves you. A few days later, begin preparing for the next new moon … as the cycles continue.
